Animal Aromatics
What is Animal Aromatics?
Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts to which dogs and horses in particular respond very well. Allowing your pet to guide you in the choice of oil is key to using aromatic essences on animals. As we domesticate our pets into an urban landscape, we deny them of the plants and herbs that animals in the wild seek out in nature when ill.
Animals know instinctively what is good for them and they have an affinity with nature. They eat plants that have medicinal properties and find comfort and rest, often in areas surrounded by trees and plants.
A holistic lifestyle should not be limited to humans. Animals have feelings too, so why not share what nature has to offer with our pets and strengthen the bond connecting humans, animals and plants!
Always consult a qualified veterinarian before attempting to treat a pet’s potentially serious condition on your own.
The consultation ~ what does it involve?
During the consultation a detailed case history will be taken and a selection of essential oils and herbal infusion will be offered to your pet. Once a positive response of the oil if indicated from the pet, the selected oil will be put aside and made into a blend.
The pet owner will be given instructions about how to use the oil on their pet at home. Improvement may be instant or take several days. Further remedies may be required if necessary 2 weeks from the initial consultation.
Essential oils are used to:
- Stimulate and support the immune system
- Help with skin problems such as allergies and hot spots
- Relieve pain such as for arthritis and joint pain
- Alleviate behaviour problems such as fear, anxiety and aggression
Consultation fees (includes 1 remedy)
House calls by appointment $800: 60 minutes
Additional 30 minutes: $250
Additional remedies if necessary @ $100 to $200 per product
Traveling expense for home visits:
Hong Kong Island: $100
Kowloon/New Territories: $150 to $200
Outlying Islands (except Lamma Island): $200

甚麼是“動物香薰治療”?
香薰油是高濃度的天然植物精華。有些動物對香薰油的反應會特别良好，像狗和馬。當我們在動物身上使用香薰油的時候，必須謹記要細心選擇和適當使用，要訣就是讓動物帶領我們去選擇適當的香薰油。可惜現在我們的寵物多數在市區環境中飼養長大, 所以當牠們感到不適, 也沒有尋找天然植物及藥草的機會。
本來，動物的本能就是知道，什麼東西是對牠們有益。其實，動物和大自然有著緊密的關係，牠們經常吃含藥性效用的植物, 並喜愛在有樹木及植物生長的地方休養生息。
身心健康的生活方式, 不應只是限於人類擁有。動物也有感覺, 何不讓寵物和我們一齊分享大自然, 加深人類, 動物及植物的聯繫!

應診
首先詳細詢問有關寵物的病歷，然後挑選不同種類的香薰油和草本浸泡油，讓寵物聞嗅。當發覺寵物對某種香薰油有正面或喜愛反應時，即把油記下放開，最後把放開的油混合調配給寵物使用。
回家後，主人需按指示使用調配給寵物的香薰油治療寵物，並會在即時或數日後察覺到病況有所改善。若有需要，診症後兩星期要作進一步的治療。
